Mariana lost
her mother when she was a little girl. Her godmother,
Amparo Mantorel, took her to live at her house and
gave her work. She fell in love with the young Adrian
Martorel, but his uncle, |

tried to rape her. From that time, Mariana enter a
boarding house, and from that moment her memories don’t
let her rest in piece. Adrian left for collage
overseas, and now he returned engaged to Raquel.
Marianas father is an alcoholic and her brother is
trying to help him, as well as the 2 younger children
that have problems at school. Adrian has his birthday
and his mother invited Mariana. The Mantorel Company
is just about ready to launch a new perfume in the
market. Adrian’s girlfriend, Raquel, is scared of
the feelings of Adrian for Marian, but she is
pressured by the family’s driver, Alvaro, that tells
her that even if she gets married she will always be
his. Mariana reveals to her father why she left and he
tells her that all that is his fault, because he sold
her to Emiliano. Mariana can’t believe what her
father had just told her. Tortured from his remorse
her father goes to the stable and commits suicide. At
the same time Mariana has a bad sense. |

Jovita informs Mariana for her father funeral. Mariana
meets Adriana on the way to La Encantada for her father
funeral. The Sisters think that Adrian is a some who
will do harm to them |

but Mariana explains
that he is the son of benefactor. Lawyer Domenias informs
Emiliano for a complain made for immoderation by Chemist
Alban. Emiliano goes to see her and asks why she did that.
Alvaro warns Raquel that he will reveal everything is she
stops there relationship, she indicates to him that she
will marry Adriana.

Mariana sticks to her decision to stay in the boarding house although Adrian and his mother are trying to convince her to stay with them. After the funeral of her father,
Ma- riana with her younger brother and

sister will return to the boarding house. Raquel promises that she will do anything to take Mariana out of Adrian life. Amparo sees Claudio with Montserrat kissing.

Mariana confesses to Mother Angeles her love for Adriana and that she disagrees with Castulo for the future of her younger brother and sister. Castulo doesn’t agree for his younger brother and sister

to be locked up in a boarding house. Mariana tells her brother that she was just 15 years old when her father sold her to Emiliano.

At La Encantada Adriana at the last minute stops Castulo from hitting Mariana. Adriana warns him that he will not let him her at his house if he doesn’t settles down. Living from the house of Castulo,

Mariana falls onto Emiliano that confesses that he gave money to her father so that he can give her his daughter, meaning her. He warns her that is she opens her mouth and says anything to anyone she will do something bad to her younger brother and sister. When they disappear from the boarding house Mariana believes that Emiliano really do what he warned her.

Mariana doesn’t know what to do to found her younger brother and sister. While she is thinking her mind goes to Castulo. Indeed, it was him that had the children that later on Claudio and Adrian

returned to Mariana. Claudio has a very important conversation with his wife Amparo. Amparo asks for a divorce. Montserrat has problems with Marco’s mother. Raquel feels ill and realizes some changed on her body. Alavaro take her to a fried that’s a doctor and after he examines her he believes that Raquel is pregnant. At the same time Salud tells Amparo how much she tried to make Raquel not to be like her mother but she believes she fail to do that.

Raquel is disturbed when she hears from Dr. Gardunio that she is pregnant. She leaved from his consulting office but she returns the next day and asks him to continue the tests. Mariana

decided to stay at La Encantada until her sister becomes well again. Salud is trying to convince her that her decision is not good because she has decided to become a nun. Claudio says to Montserrat that since he will separate from his wife he want to marry her. He tells Emiliano that this is the woman he loves and he forces him to invite them to his house. Mariana tells Eva that she still loves Adrian but she will keep it a secret. At that time Raquel enters and asks Mariana with who is she in love with.

Raquel pressures Mariana to tell her who she is in love with. Flor accepts a humiliating visit at her house from her Brother-in-law Claudio and his new lover Montserrat. Raquel hides from

Adrian that she is pregnant. Alvaro goes to see the doctor and decides forces Raquel to see him. He insists to Raquel to get rid of her baby. The investigations of Investigator Navas indicate that Dr. Alban is the main suspect for stealing the formula of the perfume. Father Gonzalo pressures both and Mariana confesses who is the one that wanted to rape her. Adrian asks Mariana to marry him but she doesn’t agree.

Raquel for another night is in the arms of Claudio’s drive, Alvaro. Mariana takes her sister, Gaby, to the consulting office of Dr. Gardunio while Raquel leaves. Raquel convinces Mariana not to

tell anyone that she saw her there. Adrian is fighting with his father and takes the side of his mother. Father Gonzalo talks with Castulo. Carmen Alban tries to convince the police and her bosses that she has anomies in the company that managed to accuse her for something she didn’t do. Amparo tells Claudio that she would not let him launch her perfume in the market and especially that Montserrat is promoting it.

Carmen tells Adrian that she believes it was his uncle, Emiliano that put the disk in her computer to wrongly accuse her. Later she warns her daughter that

Emiliano will be behind her attack. Salud find her Raquel’s tests who supposedly has a sprained her ankle, and reads that she is pregnant. But Raquel shows her grandmother that on the paper is doesn’t write her name but “her friends Estella’s”. Castulo has flu. Mariana is taking care of him. Adrian announces to Raquel that he doesn’t want to be a couple anymore. Salud visits Dr. Gardunio in order to see what is happening with her granddaughter.
